The Clone Wars was a major galactic conflict that started with the Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY. Clone troopers, which were clones of Jango Fett fought under the Jedi. It was fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, whose leaders included Count Dooku, Poggle the lesser, Wat Tambor, and Nute Gunray. Many battles were fought, until Palpatine excecuted Order 66, and Darth Vader killed the Separatist leaders on Mustafar in 19 BBY.
