TIE Defender
The TIE Series was a series of starfighters made by Sienar Fleet Systems for the Galactic Empire. There are many different types of TIE fighter, including the TIE Fighter, the TIE Bomber and the TIE Interceptor. They are commonly piloted by TIE Pilots.
TIE Ships[]
TIE Fighter[]
The TIE Fighter was the basic form of TIE craft and was used extensively by the Galactic Empire. They were piloted by TIE Pilots. They fought at the Battle of Yavin, the Battle of Hoth and the Battle of Endor.
TIE Bomber[]
The TIE Bomber was a form of TIE fighter equipped with heavier weapons for bombardment. They were typically much slower than TIE Fighters. They contained a second capsule next to the cockpit from which they dropped bombs. They were present at the hunt for the Millennium Falcon in Hoth's asteroid field.
TIE Interceptor[]
The TIE Interceptor was a form of TIE Fighter that was equipped with lighter weapons and was much faster. They were defined by their dagger-like wings. They were present at the Battle of Endor.
Darth Vader's TIE Advanced[]
Darth Vader's TIE Advanced was a custom-made form of TIE Fighter piloted by Sith Lord Darth Vader. It was present at the Battle of Yavin.
TIE Defender[]
The TIE Defender was one of the most advanced ships of all time, being faster than the TIE Interceptor and with more firepower. They were created shortly before the Battle of Endor.
