When Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca were taken on a skiff to the Great Pit of Carkoon for execution as ordered by Jabba, Kithaba was assigned to be one of their guards. However, when a battle broke out between Jabba's forces and the team of rebels, Skywalker knocked Kithaba off the skiff, and he was dragged into the sarlacc and eaten.

Kithaba is a minifigure that is included in the 9496 Desert Skiff set. This set was released in June, 2012. The Kithaba minifigure has red legs, a dark tan torso with tan arms, and brown hands which represent gloves. Printing is used on the torso to depict a dark tan jacket, tan undershirt, and a brown belt and bandolier, all of which are featured on both the front and back of the piece. Kithaba's head piece is green-grey, and features black eyes with white pupils, surrounded by dark grey, a nose, mouth with a row of teeth sticking out, and dark green printing for outlining and wrinkles. This minifigure has two accessories - a dark red hat and a blaster.
