Lego Sarlacc Pit
The Sarlacc was a creature in the Lego Star Wars universe. It has appeared in the sets 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge and 9496 Desert Skiff and in the games Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (Console) and Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga.
Background[]
The Sarlacc lived in the Great Pit of Carkoon in the Dune Sea on Tatooine. Only its mouth appeared above the surface of the sand. Little was known about its biology, but those unlucky enough to fall into its beak were rumoured to be digested over a thousand years. It was notably used to execute enemies of Jabba the Hutt. It was while he attempted to execute Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca that his Sail Barge exploded, killing the Hutt.
Role in LEGO® Star Wars[]
2006 Variant[]
The 2006 variant of the Sarlacc appeared in the set 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge. It had 12 teeth and a relatively small mouth within an almost-flat base.
2012 Variant[]
The 2012 variant of the Sarlacc appeared in the set 9496 Desert Skiff. It had fewer teeth and two pose able tentacles. Its beak was also big enough to fit a minifigure in.
Video Games[]
The Sarlacc appears in the games Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy and in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga in the level The Pit of Carkoon, the second level of Episode VI. It is relatively unseen, but appears in a cutscene when Boba Fett falls into its gaping maw.
